I am a regulatory affairs and public health professional with over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical regulation, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance, and policy implementation. I am passionate about strengthening national systems for antimicrobial consumption and use (AMC/AMU) and advancing evidence-based solutions to combat AMR.

S. M. Sabrina Yesmin is a dedicated regulatory professional with over 12 years of experience at the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh. She specializes in pharmaceutical law enforcement, medicine and vaccine registration, clinical trial oversight, and GMP/GCP inspections. As the National Focal Point for Antimicrobial Consumption (AMC) and Antimicrobial Use (AMU) Surveillance, she has led Bangladesh’s national reporting to WHO-GLASS (human medicine) and WOAH-ANIMUSE (veterinary medicine).

Her leadership contributed to the publication of Bangladesh’s first AMU report — “Human Antimicrobial Use in Bangladesh: Five-Year Trend Analysis Including the COVID-19 Pandemic Era.” She is also responsible for ensuring environmental safety compliance in antibiotic manufacturing, promoting the use of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) for sustainable pharmaceutical production.
